Papa's Birthday

The celebration of my Dad's (Papa's) birthday, is the kick off of the Christmas festivities. I know that he hates how close his birthday is to Christmas, but I think we have always done a good job of separating the two. We always have a dinner, cake and presents. MOST of the time the presents are wrapped in birthday paper and not Christmas paper, but sometimes one slips in. The kids were super excited about his birthday. Madison woke up with a fever and was VERY disappointed she didn't get to go to his house first thing. But after a quick trip to the doctor (and a negative flu test) she got to join her brother to spend the day at his house. Waylon, Morgan and I joined later in the day for dinner and cake!

Little helpers

New work boots Landon insisted on wearing.

I thought getting a picture of two children was hard, try THREE! You can barely see Morgan's head peaking through the blankets. :)

Papa requested banana pudding for his cake. In Madison's words, "That is just weird" and I agreed so we picked up a little cake so there would at least be something everyone else considered a birthday cake and not a "weird" cake.

And we opted for the number '65' not sixty five individual candles. And we had to light multiple times so both kids could blow them out, so just having two to relight made it much simpler.

Happy Birthday Larry, Dad, Papa!!!
