Newborn photo shoot !!

I had been waiting to take these pictures since the day I found out I was pregnant. The journey to get these pictures was a little tougher then I had planed on but in the end it was totally worth all the sweat and tears (literally). The studio was about a million degrees (or 80) and Madison wanted nothing to do with anything picture related. But after some serious bribery we were able to get a perfect family picture. Maybe at his 3 month the sibling shot will go better. But in the end,  EVERY single picture is absolutely everything I had hoped for! Kristen Mackey is amazing as always!

A whole new world ...

Two kids makes things interesting, but at the same time I couldn't imagine a world without either one of them!

I think this face was a reaction to when I said this is what it would be like to have twins!

Adorable

Just born

I ordered some stickers to take pictures with for the first year of Landon's life hoping this would force me to take a monthly picture. Well... his "just born" pictures were taken about week one, I will try better next month!

Hospital and going home ...

I was so happy that my grandma got to visit us in the hospital. She had been ready to meet this little boy since about February so I know she was excited to come visit too!

Time to go home! Look how excited he is!

Let the madness begin!

Landon's Birthday!!!

On June 21st, 2012 we welcomed the newest addition to our family, Landon John. We were blessed with a 9lb 4oz, 20 3/4 inch long baby boy. And every inch of him was perfect! His original due date was June 30th, but the doctor was a little concerned with his size due to the size of my belly, so she decided to move the date up, and am I glad she did! I can't imagine having gone another 9 days! During the last two weeks things had gotten pretty miserable so I was ready! Having a scheduled C-section is the way to go! I woke up, took a shower, put makeup on, fixed my hair, took Madison to Lisa's.... pretty much a normal day. We got to the hospital around 9:30, they got me checked in and hooked up. Then the dreaded (yet expected) news. The doctor was running behind.... so we waited what felt like an eternity. When it was time to go back, I determined I was not a fan of entering the operating room alone. It wasn't long until Waylon got to join me. This time we were prepared with a camera, yet there wasn't a single picture taken! When the doctor pulled Landon's head out he immediately started crying, screaming really and then continued to scream while they cleaned him up in the next room. It was the most beautiful sound in the world and brought tears to both Waylon and I's eyes. Everyone in the operating room made comments on just how big this baby was! Waylon went with Landon to the nursery and I got to see them both about an hour later! Much better then the 3 hours I had to wait to see Madison. He was perfect in every way!

Look at that belly!

I was shocked at how much Landon resembles his sister. They are pretty much identical in their hospital pictures!

Once we got up to the room we had lots of visitors

Then my favorite visitor stopped by..... at this point she was pretty excited about her new baby brother. Approx 10 min later she asked when Kami was going to take her baby home. I explained how Landon was our baby and how he was going home with us, she didn't like that idea so much.
