Easter Egg Drop!

For a few years now, in the park behind our house, a church in the community hosts an Easter Egg "Drop". The "drop" is referring to thousands of eggs being dropped onto a field from a helicopter! For the past few years I have only got to enjoy this creative Easter festivity from my back porch (thought it might be a little creepy to show up without a kid). So this year I was excited for Madison to participate. Well it was a cold, rainy, blah kind of day, but I didn't care, we were going to have FUN! We loaded up the stroller, and headed to the park. There were several fields set up for the various age groups. I was a little concerned because little miss is not walking and I wasn't exactly sure how she was going to participate, but she was an expert egg hunter. She just crawled to the eggs, no need to walk! I would say first Easter Egg hunt = SUCCESS!!

 Here come the helicopter

I must say it was a little scary when the helicopter was directly overhead

Can you see the little one crawling to the eggs....

Had to fight off a few kids
 Success!

12 month photo shoot

My friend and absolutely AMAZING photographer Kristen Mackey  (http://sonkissedphotography.com/) took Madison's 12 month pictures. We ventured out to Woodward Park one Sunday evening for a photo shoot. Well it was a little warm, the wind was blowing a million miles an hour (shocking, I know), and little Miss had no desire to take pictures. The session started out well, then she fizzled. We had to bribe her with a few cheerios and eventually decided to try another day! About a week later we met up in the morning at the park. This time we did get a few more smiles along with some awesome lighting! Again, Kristen is AMAZING, so great with kids, truly loves her job and is so fun to work with. I would highly recommend her! Hope you enjoy!

We saw this face A LOT!

I believe there was a cheerio in her mouth here....

So jealous of the eyelashes

Addy and Maddy!

Last week I had the pleasure of keeping my best friend's beautiful daughter for the day! I was super excited as this was the first time I had kept more then one kid at a time (testing myself for baby number two) and I wanted to see how the girls would interact. The "test" was exhausting but watching the girls play was well worth it! The girls are 15 weeks apart (exactly 15 weeks because they were both born on a Tuesday). Addy is 17 months and Madison is 13 months. There are so many differences in the two yet so many similarities. Wherever one went, the other was quick to follow. For the most part they shared very well, but there were a few bumps in the road. I have posted several pictures, but they were too cute not to share! I am ready for the next play date!

The pink car was in high demand. I eventually had to hide it in my bedroom to control the fighting.

Um, excuse me.... I believe this is my car!

I DON'T want to share!

Fine, I will just push you around
 Then Addy had to push

At one point I did resort to the Wonder Pets, but they obviously love it so why not?!

 Addy read Madison a book
They thought sliding at the same time would be more fun (until they got stuck)
Madison showed Addy her cabinet in the kitchen
 They played me some tunes

Put their backpacks on for our lunch adventure
Played some more tunes and danced a little

After nap time they shared some cheerios and puffs
Addy decided Madison needed to fix her hair (see previous bed head post)
Madison was 100% fine with it as long as she could keep eating her cheerios!
It was a such a fun day and I can't wait to watch these girls grow up together!
